Uber - Global Freight HQ
The Old Chicago Post Office
Installed in Uber’s Offices at the Old Chicago Post Office, these fixtures are the key elements in the interior architecture of the space. The staircase is meant to emulate the look of a mail chute found in the space when it was a post office, and the splash wall is modeled after a bird’s eye view of the kind of shipping containers moved by Uber Freight everyday.
Knoll - Design Space
Fulton Market
This space was built out in the bustling Fulton Market District of Chicago, where it houses the Knoll (now Miller-Knoll) Design Space and Showroom. The two story atrium fixture is made of full length stainless steel tubing, with custom fabricated bronze lettering.
jina valentine - a murmuration
O’Hare International Airport
Installed in O’Hare Airport’s expansion of Terminal 5, “A Murmuration,” is an exploration of geography, demographics, and regional identity. Composed of 13 iterations of the Midwest’s river system, each representing a decade long snapshot of the region’s history. The consistent shifts from generation to generation, and the diversity of heritages represented shows that our culture goes much deeper than is sometimes known.
Saint Alfred - Retail Space
Wicker Park
These custom steel fixtures were created for Saint Alfred’s new space in Wicker Park. The laser cut and powder coated fixtures were designed and fabricated by ChiLab studio in collaboration with 555 International.
Google Home - Bus Stations
Downtown Chicago
This OOH campaign to promote the launch of Google Home’s product line involved the design, fabrication and installation of four custom bus station toppers, each denoting a different type of architecture found in the city of Chicago.
Field Museum - Trojan Horse
Chicago Ave. & State St.
Commissioned by the Field Museum to advertise “The Greeks” traveling exhibition, this piece stood over the entrance to the historic Chicago Red Line station at the corner of State Street and Chicago Avenue. DuSable Harbor Park
